​I can’t thank Alice Lucas School of Dance enough for all the support shown towards Oliver during his time at the school. Oli joined Susan Lucas School of Dance when he was 11 and was welcomed immediately by Miss Alice and Mrs Lucas. He has always been shown a huge amount of warmth from everyone at the school and despite being the only boy in his class has never felt out of place. As a result of all the guidance that Miss Alice gave to Oliver, he auditioned for English National Ballet Youth Company and performed with them for a year. He then went on to successfully gain a place at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance where he is currently studying for a degree.

My daughter wanted to try ballet at 4 years old, The Alice Lucas School of Dance was highly recommended to me. She loved it from the first moment and 6 years on - still loving it. You soon notice the way your child moves starts to change, new muscles appear, the way they dance with their friends and in your front room, it becomes their passion. My daughter went from a timid little girl to a hugely confident, strong child, dancing on a stage in front of a large audience. Miss Alice makes classes fun whilst observing the respect and discipline required for the art. She is so patient and encouraging with the children, wanting the very best for them, guiding them through the exam process and learning new dances with a little French thrown in. As a parent, to watch your child dance in this way is one of most moving experiences ever - I still cry every time. I cannot recommend the school enough - it certainly is fabulous fun for feet, fingers and faces.

The Alice Lucas School of Dance offers an exceptional level of dance tuition, with a real focus on helping each child to become the best they can. Alice supports every child to grow in confidence and to develop the creative and technical skills required to pursue dance to whatever level they choose to take their interest. I had no idea that my 3 year old ballerina was starting a hobby that would become an important part of her identity as a teenager. It is wonderful that the Alice Lucas School of Dance can meet the needs of dancers from 3 to adult!

My daughter started at Alice Lucas School of Dance when she was 3 years old, she is nearly 10 now, attending 2 classes a week working towards exams, shows, holiday schools, different dances and she is still loving it. Though quite a shy, quiet girl, its given her poise, elegance, balance, hidden confidence and motivation. Alice is wonderful, my daughter adores her and looks up to her, she is a brilliant role model showing hard work and commitment to all the children and teenagers under her wing. Both our girls (aged 3 and 5 years) absolutely love their ballet class on a Saturday morning with Miss Alice and Miss Sam. The progress they have made since attending Alice Lucas school of Dance has been very impressive and both girls' confidence has grown considerably. We love watching the new skills they learn when we have our regular 'show times' at home.
Even when the weather is grey outside, it is great for us as parents to know that their getting exercise. Miss Alice is wonderful with the children and her command of them is incredible to watch.
